Local-first by design

Doculigent, the desktop application, records your screen and camera locally. Transcription (including speaker separation) and AI summaries are generated on-device. Nothing about a recording is sent anywhere unless you explicitly share it by email — recording, storage, and processing stay on your machine by default.

What we collect when you share a recording

When you choose to share a recording, the recording (and its transcript and summary) is uploaded and made available to the recipient — another user or a team you choose. On the Free plan, that access expires 24 hours after you share it; on paid plans, access is persistent until you remove it. Only the person or team you shared it with can view the recording.

What this website collects

This website (doculigent.com) may collect the following information:

• Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and message when you contact us. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.
• Account information — information required to create and manage your account, such as your email address, display name, and authentication details.
• Basic technical data — information automatically generated when you use our website, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and application or server logs. You can remove a recipient's access to a shared recording at any time on a paid plan; on the Free plan, access expires automatically after 24 hours. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (such as contact form submissions or account details), reach out via the Contact Us page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Doculigent after a change means you accept the updated policy.
